What a dumb way to do it...
Instead of copying "explorer" a million times, just make two lines:

Explorer
autorun.bat

After starting explorer it was call itself again, starting explorer and then itself, starting explorer and then itself, over and over...

Endless loop...

Better way
Write in te bat file command [consored] to logout and put it in startup.
Be sure to put it in all users folder not the current user.

  You can enter in save mode and delete the shortcut and the file!
  
  Another way to do this, is to execute files from registry. In this way it's hard to find the problem!

you may need to write cd.. a few times until u are in directory C:\

What other programs are operable from dos prompt? I tried writing the file path for XP programs like itunes and i may have had syntax or a command wrong but it didnt work. Any thoughts?
