    hmm, i agree that colorado plays in a much tougher conference, not one team got over 100 points in the NW Division this year... Detroit has made the playoffs alot this past decade but to my knowledge only have one or two stanley cups to show for it? You give a team 7 games to look at detroit, the wings are in trouble... but you can't deny Johan Franzen's absolute marathon of scoring in this years COL - DET playoff matchup, good clean hockey this year :D.

    Detroit sucks.If they had any competition in their division like Colorado does Detroit wouldn't make the playoffs so often.Look at how many games they pretty much get given to them.They get to play Nashville, Chicago, St. Louis, and Columbus all 8 times a year.Colorado gets to play Vancouver, Calgary, Minnesota, and Edmonton 8 times.Think COL plays the harder teams.Change spots with Colorado for a year and Colorado would probably win the Presidents Trophy well Detroit would have to fight for 8th

As for the avs, im sorry but losing 5 of your star players is not an "excuse", its a big reason. Not the only reason, but you cannot deny that losing that many players will have a huge negative impact for the avs..
